Look what yummy salad I found on Mrs. Buenavida. It contains avocado, which are rich in beta-sitosterol, a substance that has been shown to have a positive effect on your blood cholesterol levels. Plus, one of the best sources of vitamin E is avocado. Lots of people don’t eat them though, because they think there’s too much fat in them. Although, it’s true that avocado is rich in fats, it’s monounsaturated fats… which means good fat!

This is actually a picture from April, 2 but it wasn’t till now that I noticed Miley’s shoes… She’s wearing Shape Ups! Skecher claims that the Shape Ups tone your calves, legs, butt, abs & back and improve your posture & balance. Plus, they improve circulation. But from what I’ve read about them: don’t expect any miracles though. They won’t make you able to skip the gym. Just consider them as an extra to wear on the treadmill, to the grocery shop, walking the dog etc.

Mariah Carey: “I Empathize With Women Who Have To Lose Weight”

Most women gain some weight during their pregnancy. But Mariah Carey seemed to gain a whole lot more. After giving birth to twins in April 2011, Mariah Carey managed to lose 30 lbs and got down to a healthy US size 6 (UK size 10). The star credits Jenny Craig’s structured eating plan for her weight-loss success, along with a workout routine that helps her stay toned. Gracing the cover of Shape Magazine in tiny shorts and a crop top, she told the magazine:

“I put on 70 lbs. but if you look at me in pictures you’d think it was more like 9,000 lbs. I have a lot of empathy with people who have to lose a lot of weight.” Mariah also talked about the mental struggle to lose so much weight, telling Shape, “I remember thinking at the time: ‘I’ll never look or feel the same again.’”

Alessandra Ambrosio’s Butt Workout

Who wouldn’t want a body like Victoria’s Secret angel Alessandra Ambrosio? Luckily, fitness expert Leandro Carvalho, told Shape Magazine how she got that great booty, plus he talked about how he started working with Alessandra. It all began 10 years ago when she approached Carvalho:

“Alessandra was looking for a program to specifically target and tone her butt without bulking up her legs,” Leandro Carvalho says. “She wanted her legs longer, her thighs thinner, and her butt toned and tightened.”

As a result, Carvalho’s world-famous ‘Brazil Butt Lift’ was born and since then, celebrities, supermodels and Victoria’s Secret angels alike have been flocking to the innovative Brazilian trainer to learn his secret on getting one awesome butt. About his workout, Carvalho says:

“You’re doing cardio at the same time that you’re using muscles and sculpting the body. All you need is your own body weight. My workout tones your bum bum, but keeps your curves so you can stay sensual and feminine.”

Quinoa is actually very healthy, because it’s very high in protein and has every one of the nine essential amino acids. These nine essential amino acids are the ones that your body cannot synthesize in quantities sufficient to sustain good health, so they need to come from food sources.

Lindsay Lohan is definitely not the only one in female Hollywood who has been battling with her weight (in the past).  We probably all remember the pictures of an ultraskinny Lindsay Lohan in a white dress back in 2005. A year later she gained some weight and looked much healthier. But in 2008 it seemed that she was shedding the pounds again. I’m glad though that these days she’s back to a more natural size. It seems Lindsay gained most weight on the upper-part of her body and her booty and hips, because her belly is actually still quite flat. What do you think of the comparison? Did she looked better then or now?
